Owner - Therapist - Supervisor
Blessings! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor here at Glimpses of Hope in Chantilly, Virginia. After studying for my degree in professional counseling from Liberty University, I completed my internship and residency at nearby Hope Counseling Center. Many years prior, I obtained a bachelor’s degree in marketing, with a minor in music, from Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania, where I was born and raised. Since I was very young, I wanted to be a helper, to walk alongside those who are struggling and hurting...
My husband and I have been married for almost three decades and we have two adult children. We worked together in church youth ministry for over ten years before returning to the non-profit world. We are active members of a local PCA church as well as supporters of quality Christian nonprofits and education. Leisure activities are known to promote health, so I like all kinds of crafts, gardening, home improvement, playing the piano, pickleball, and volleyball. When I’m not working or playing with my family, I spend my spare time reading and dreaming about inspirational writing.
Because I believe every person is unique and not to be put in a psychological box, my integrated approach utilizes a person-centered environment with cognitive-behavioral therapy and somatic interventions. I enjoy working with all ages and specialize in play therapy with young children. In the counseling room, I endeavor to model my life after Jesus by showing His love with compassion and gentle soul care. To me, individuals are holistic beings – mind, body, and spirit – made by God and thus infinitely valuable!

Jerelyn
Intern in Counseling
Hello! I am a clinical mental health counseling student from Liberty University. For the duration of my internship, I will be working under the supervision of Kristine McPeek LPC, NCC, RPT-S. Called to the helping profession, my first career involved working in the medical field as a registered nurse. While I very much enjoyed my 20 years working in the medical field, I felt led to move into the field of counseling several years ago.
My husband and I are military transplants from the Midwest. We have one teenaged son and a playful Labrador retriever named Pepper who loves to eat everything! My husband and I will celebrate 20 years together soon, and we are both very committed to our church, Christian fellowship, and aiding Christian ministries both locally and globally. When I am not working you can find me at church, walking my dog, hiking with my family, and participating in many scouting activities with my son.
I welcome meeting people of all ages in the counseling setting, and I endeavor to practice compassionate care from an attachment theory approach while utilizing CBT.
